$510,000 awarded to 10 startups at inaugural MassChallenge Texas finale
Ten companies won prizes in the 2018 MassChallenge Texas awards. More than 450 startups had applied to the nonprofit accelerator earlier this year.

One makes nipples for people who get mastectomies, a couple of the startups turn trash into treasure, and one is even waging tiny wars in the water. Spurred on by some entrepreneurial words of wisdom, this crop of young companies is poised to have an impact on the world — and now they have some additional cash to further their dreams.
