OUR SUITE OF SOLUTIONS
Scalable solutions to detect and track aquatic organisms in your waterways
EQO is the only company capable of offering automated & scalable collection, preservation, and testing of biological samples using targeted and highly sensitive eRNA and eDNA analytics.
Whether you need traditional lab services, or have a project that requires next-generation sequencing we can do that to.
Large-scale and portable field support solutions for collecting high volume eRNA and eDNA samples.
Our field tools and laboratory capabilities provide the information you need to make effective decisions.
EQO's solutions offer clients field support for collecting high volume eRNA and eDNA samples
LARGE-SCALE IN-SITU SOLUTIONS
EQO's targeted and highly-sensitive proprietary analytics platform enables rapid response. The Calypso allows autonomous early detection of live organisms at the single molecule level for mitigation success.
Breakthrough environmental DNA + RNA scientific advances deliver the highest accuracy, predictive results and actionable information.
The Osprey, is the first sample collection system enabling portable, high volume, easy collection of eRNA and eDNA genetic snapshots - for rapid response and effective mitigation.
EQO's diagnostic tools offer our clients 3 types of support
We offer eRNA diagnostic solutions, including determination of live vs, dead. EQO CALYPSO autonomous samplers are installed to collect and preserve biological material automatically. EQO OSPREY allows for multi-site surveys of eRNA and eDNA for species of interest.
EQO scientist extract, preserve, catalogue, and analyze genetic information to determine the presence of living organisms as well as the stage of infestation. EQO then provides the customer with actionable information needed to efficiently treat - for example - a population of zebra mussels, whether it's a newly established population or an older infestation.
EQO collection systems can be semi-permanently installed onsite or utilized as a mobile survey system to monitor population activity. Effective management of invasive species infestation, endangered species management, and biosecurity threat reduction, require population activity information. This can only be determined through consistent monitoring, allowing for treatment optimization and quality control.
Once samples are collected by our in field products, our lab services provide the information needed for action
FULL SUITE OF SERVICES
Whether you need more traditional laboratory services, like cross-polarized microscopy for veliger identification, or have a project that requires next-generation sequencing, metagenomics, or transcriptomics, we can do that to. Custom primer/probe design allows our clients the flexibility to analyze genes and species of interest that may not be commercially available elsewhere. We have designed custom probe sets for rare, endangered, exotic, and invasive species detection and metabolic activity assessment, as well as for toxin expression and for categories of toxic species rather than single species. If you want to know about it, you can.
Do you suspect microbial contamination of your lakes and rivers? Do you know where the pathogens come from?
The PhyloChip, brought though our partnership with Veracet, is the leading tool for analyzing the water to uncover science-based evidence to support your water management efforts. With the PhyloChip, not only do we identify ALL the various bacteria living in your water but we also pinpoint the source of any fecal pollution.
Some Success Stories
Saved a client upwards of $2M in management by detecting a living population of invasive species early and accurately, to allow for swift action to avoid infestation.
Detected the presence of an endangered species via DNA, but showed no active population by RNA, allowing wetland remediation project to move forward.
Ongoing monitoring and diagnostics of fisheries and critical infrastructure.
REPORTING THAT MATTERS
Take Effective Action
What good is information if it does not lead to effective decision making? Our field tools and laboratory capabilities provide the information you need to make effective decisions. The information is provided in easy to understand, timely, reports, with suggested action items for effective management, plus, our scientific staff is never more than an email or phone call away to discuss results and make action plans with you. Our service does not stop with a single report, we are there for you and your water when you need it.
